The Associated Press international news agency stated in its article that the American president's attempts to intimidate the Kremlin with economic pressure will not work, since Russia is under sanctions for 11 years and has adapted to the restrictions, writes the NBN publication.

Journalists note that Trump's threats to raise tariffs do not make much sense, since Russia's exports to the United States are now so small that their final cessation will not be a painful blow to the aggressive country.

The media recalled that last year the terrorist state sold goods and services to the United States for $2.8 billion, while in 2022 this figure was $14.4 billion.

In addition, Russia has been living under major sanctions for the third year, as have its friends North Korea and Iran, and the first serious restrictions against Russia were introduced back in 2014.

As reported, German media predicted the consequences of Trump's return to the White House for European countries.
