On Wednesday, January 29, the mayor of Kyiv published a video message to the president, in which he stated that people from Zelensky's entourage, who is focused on the war and protecting the country, are engaged in political intrigue.
According to him, an attempt is being made in the capital to unbalance power and destroy local self-government, the NBN publication writes.
The official said that the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, whom the head of state appointed to this position on December 31, is blocking the resolution of key economic issues in the capital, in particular the restoration of damaged residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, compensation for victims, etc.
Such actions by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, according to Klitschko, destabilize the city's governance and pose a threat to its life support. In addition, Tkachenko is trying to usurp power in Kyiv by breaking the law, taking over the powers of the mayor, city council and Kyiv City State Administration.
The head of the capital added that he will continue to protect the interests of Kiev residents, calling on Zelensky to prevent the destruction of local self-government.
