The leader of the German pro-Russian party, Sahra Wagenknecht, believes that US President Donald Trump can conclude a peace deal with dictator Vladimir Putin.

The head of the party “Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance: For Reason and Justice” in an interview with the Berlin Playbook podcast from Politico stated that it does not consider the 47th US President to be a “great bearer of peace” and is skeptical of him, writes the NBN publication.
At the same time, the German politician does not rule out that the head of the White House could become the key to ending the war in Ukraine, given that the Kremlin dictator agreed to meet with the American leader. According to her, we must hope that Trump's negotiations with Putin will help achieve peace.
It should be noted that Wagenknecht advocates for closer relations between Berlin and the head of the Kremlin, and is often criticized for spreading Russian propaganda regarding the war in Ukraine.
The politician also sharply criticizes Germany's provision of military aid to Kyiv, arguing that the country cannot win on the battlefield and de-occupy territories. According to her, it is irresponsible to continue arms supplies instead of holding ceasefire talks.
Recall that the day before, the head of the Hungarian government, Viktor Orban, said that without negotiations to end the war, Ukraine would become the “Afghanistan of the EU.”
