British intelligence writes in its report that the Kremlin is trying to combat the demographic crisis in the Russian Federation, but in vain. Fines for “childfree” are part of the strategy to combat low birth rates, writes “NBN” with reference to the UK Ministry of Defence page on the social network X.

British intelligence drew attention to the material of the independent Russian publication “Novaya Gazeta”. The media reported that in the Russian Federation and in the Ukrainian VOT, for the first time, a fine was issued for “childfree” propaganda after the Kremlin dictator signed the law last year.

The document notes that Moscow intends to partially solve the serious demographic problem of the declining population of the aggressor country with the help of the new law. The situation has become more complicated since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, when about 1.3 million Russian citizens have left the country.

UK intelligence writes that demographic problems are a long-term challenge for the Russian economy and society that the Kremlin will not be able to overcome.

Earlier, the media reported that Moscow is having difficulty maintaining influence in post-Soviet Asian countries after the start of a full-scale war.
