A representative of the Air Force said that on the night of February 12, Putin's army attacked our country with ballistic missiles, kamikaze drones “Shahed” and UAV imitators, the NBN publication reports with reference to NV.

According to him, this is not the first time that the Russian Armed Forces have hit Kyiv with ballistics. Such targets can only be shot down by appropriate systems, such as the Patriot air defense system. Ignat said that the air defense destroyed all 6 missiles that were flying to the Kiev region.

The colonel also commented on the dozens of explosions that Ukrainians wrote about online.

He explained that when a shot down target falls to the ground, an explosion is heard, preceded by the release of anti-aircraft missiles, which is accompanied by a characteristic sound, like a bang. Then an explosion in the air is heard as a result of the hit, in particular, an air defense missile and an enemy missile can explode in the air. When fragments of a destroyed target fall to the ground, there may also be an explosion.

Speaking about the drone attack, the head of the communications department of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Command noted that it was the same as the previous ones: the enemy launched attack drones and UAV imitators, which complicate the combat work of air defense. Usually, the occupiers use half of the “Shaheds” and half of the false targets.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the Russian night attack on Ukraine.
