As reported by NBN, citing Suspilne's material, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement, including justifying the introduction of permanent sanctions by the National Security and Defense Council against his former colleague/MP Petro Poroshenko.

Based on Zelensky's words, such restrictive measures are not final and will be supplemented, since the above-mentioned individuals have been constantly withdrawing billions of hryvnias, ignoring the ongoing war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

The guarantor emphasized that he was very surprised – previously, the financial monitoring process did not show violations on the part of these individuals, however, thanks to the intervention of the SBU, it became known about the withdrawal of billions of hryvnias by Medvedchuk and Poroshenko, who are, in Zelensky's opinion, partners “in this case”.

However, the President of Ukraine added – such accusations can only be confirmed by court decisions. However, already now the “violators” will not be able to use “this or that money that was earned illegally”, in particular, money laundering through funds (transferred to members of controlled parties) focused on supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Separately, Zelensky singled out that the lifting of sanctions is possible after the return of all funds withdrawn by the oligarchs to the state budget for the subsequent financing of the Defense Forces.

Earlier, we wrote about how Zelensky commented on rumors that Boris Johnson disrupted the peace agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
