As NBN reports with reference to the X-account of WBA champion in the first middleweight category Terence Crawford (41-0/31 KO), in the draw between American colleague in the WBA title in the lightweight category Gervonta Davis (30-0-1/28 KO) and his compatriot Lamont Roach (25-1-2/10 KO), there is definitely a winner whose actions were not taken into account by the referees.

According to Crawford, Roach was able to defeat Gervonta because the judges ignored and did not count the knockdown.

The middleweight champion believes the judges robbed “that guy” [Roach], which is “insane.” In particular, Crawford has never seen anyone take a knee in his entire boxing career [referring to Gervonta, who allegedly slipped on “hair oil”], and it was not counted as a knockdown.

The boxer summed it up:

…Everyone forgot the rules. Some of you [judges] should watch the Mayweather vs. Hernandez fight and see how Mayweather took a knee due to an arm injury – it was counted as a knockdown, even though it was not from a punch.
