Bloomberg reported that some of the 47th US President's aides are proposing to include a clause on Zelensky's resignation in a future peace agreement to end the war. An unnamed European official told journalists about this, NBN writes.
In a comment to the media, he noted that the head of state takes a less tough position on this issue, but some members of the Trump administration insist on making a change of power in Ukraine part of any settlement of the war.
House Speaker Mike Johnson previously said that Ukrainians would need a new president if Zelensky “doesn’t come to his senses” and start negotiations with the Russians.
As reported, on February 28, Zelensky and Trump had a heated exchange in the Oval Office of the White House, which was broadcast live. US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg commented on the scandal.
