As NBN reports with reference to GizmoChina, companies were forced to abandon the production of small smartphones due to the influence of market trends and consumer preferences.
In particular, minimalist “gadgets” are less offered on the market because:
- have limited autonomy – it is physically impossible to place a large battery in a compact case, that is, the operating period of such devices is significantly reduced and is not in demand;
- 4G/5G communication standards have become widespread, and “devices” require additional antennas and complex engineering solutions that take up a lot of space inside the case;
- developers of applications and services focus primarily on large displays, and special adaptations for compact devices are rarely made;
- “Devices” are used not only for making calls, but also for watching video content, playing games, processing documents and communicating on social networks, which is not very convenient on a small screen.
