As NBN reports with reference to the data of a social survey published by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), the trust rating of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has grown from 57 percent in February to 68 percent in March.

According to the results of the study, the ratio of trust/distrust in the Ukrainian leader improved from plus 20 percent (recorded in the first half of February) to plus 41 percent at the beginning of the current month: the share of those who do not agree with Zelensky’s policies decreased from 37 percent to 27 percent during the specified period.

Analysts attribute such changes in public sentiment to the worsening relations between Ukraine and the United States, as well as a resonant event – the squabble between Zelensky and Trump in the White House on February 28.

Thus, the level of trust in the president is predominantly positive in all regions of the country, however, the lowest support is recorded in the East (60 percent), and in the western, central and southern regions, it fluctuates in the range from 66 to 69 percent.

According to the executive director of KIIS Anton Grushetsky, the growth of trust in Zelensky indicates the unification of Ukrainians against the backdrop of external challenges, in particular, the desire to achieve peace in the country, but not on the condition of Russia's capitulation, as the Trump administration is actually proposing.
