As reported by NBN with reference to the material of European Pravda, the head of the European Council, Antonio Costa, made a statement that several EU member states guarantee the allocation of more than 10 billion euros in additional aid to Ukraine.

Based on Costa's words, the aforementioned donor countries intend to immediately expand their support for Ukraine, thanks to measures that allow for scaling up the fiscal space, and, ultimately, to allocate up to 15 billion euros to Kyiv.

In addition, the EU Council should promptly develop follow-up similar initiatives aimed at meeting Ukraine's urgent military and defence needs.

The official added that Brussels is seeking to support Ukraine, especially if Kyiv decides to begin the negotiation process with the Russian Federation, which will help “achieve a positive result,” in particular, “a fair and lasting peace.”
