As reported by NBN with reference to the Milliyet material, the Turkish Ministry of Defense responded whether they are ready for the potential deployment of their military personnel as part of the peacekeeping forces to support the corresponding mission in Ukraine.
According to the words of the representative of this ministry Zeki Akturk, the topic of participation in such a mission is raised in various media, but has not yet been placed on a conceptual basis, since the issue should be discussed with all relevant parties. In particular, such a step by Ankara is possible when there is a critical need to establish regional stability and a fair and lasting peace in Ukraine through equal and fair representation of both parties.
The official added that in this process, Türkiye seeks to continue to support all constructive initiatives that provide for the arrival of peace in the region, maintaining the safety of shipping in the Black Sea, and the restoration of Ukraine.
Akturk summed up:
…We are following multidimensional diplomatic initiatives aimed at ending the war, in close coordination with the relevant institutions of our state.
Earlier we wrote that Zaluzhny accused the United States of destroying the foundations of the world order.
