Trump's former adviser told CBC News Network that the best development of events after the meeting of representatives of Kyiv and Washington in Jeddah would be the return of relations between Ukraine and the United States to the right path, writes NBN.

Bolton also expects the talks to include a minerals agreement, which he believes is “unlikely to have much of an impact.” However, the White House chief may “declare victory” after the agreement is signed and calm down for a while.

The politician believes that the question is not what the meeting of the Ukrainian and US delegations will achieve, but how Kyiv and its NATO allies will cope with Trump’s de facto support for the Kremlin.

The former adviser to the American president claims that at this stage, forcing the Ukrainian leadership to agree to a ceasefire is a big mistake. If events develop this way, there is a risk that the existing front lines could become a new border between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. As a result, Russian aggression will be justified.

Let us recall that the analyst explained what role a drone attack on Moscow could play in the negotiations in Jeddah.
