The “Second Peace Army” has sharply intensified its attempts to advance not only near the Oskol River (which flows through Kupyansk), but also in the north and south of the Kharkiv region.

As reported by NBN, citing an explanation voiced by Viktor Tregubov, a representative of the operational-strategic group of forces (OSGV) “Khortitsa”, on the air of a telethon on the YouTube channel “TSN”, the Russian invaders managed to take advantage of the freezing of the Oskol River and transfer part of their units to the other bank.
Based on Tregubov’s words, Putin’s army intends to redeploy more forces to the captured bridgehead off the coast of Oskol (apparently, we are talking about the Kupyansk direction), involving small floating craft (boats) in the crossing, but now it is very difficult to carry out such actions, since the defenders are effectively trying to “get them back across the river.”
In addition, the Khortitsa speaker specified that there was little snow accumulated along the natural water barrier, and the Oskol River froze for a short time, which did not allow the Russian occupation army to transfer more units.
However, there is also a significant downside:
…A strong flood [of Oskol] is not expected, and the river there is not such that it would overflow its banks and wash them all away.
