In January, the annual growth rate of prices for raw products slowed somewhat amid an increase in imports of some goods, but hyperinflation prevented goods from becoming cheaper.

As NBN reports with reference to the analysis of the State Statistics Service (Gosstat), the average cost of food products and non-alcoholic beverages, if compared with the same period in 2024, increased by 15.2 percent.
According to statistics agency experts, over the past 12 months, the products that have seen the biggest price increases are:
- butter – by 32.2 percent;
- sunflower seed vegetable oil – by 31.1 percent;
- vegetables – by 29.4 percent;
- bakery products – by 20.6 percent;
- milk – 18.3 percent;
- regular and fermented milk cheeses – by 17.9 percent;
- baked goods and other bread products – by 17 percent;
- chicken eggs – by 16.9 percent;
- non-alcoholic beverages – by 15.6 percent;
- fruits – by 14.1 percent;
- fish and fish products – by 12.4 percent;
- pasta products – by 11.2 percent;
- meat and its processed products – by 6.8 percent;
- granulated sugar – by 4.3 percent.
