As NBN reports with reference to Radio Liberty, the president/CEO of this media holding, Stephen Kapus, spoke about the above-described obstruction of USAGM’s activities.

According to Kaus, the grant approved by the US Congress to finance the operation of RFE/RL has been terminated, which is certainly “a huge gift to America’s enemies.”

The CEO of Radio Liberty believes that now the ayatollahs of Iran, the communist leaders of China and the autocrats of Russia and Belarus will be able to celebrate the fall of this media outlet after 75 years of stable work, which will only make the enemy stronger, and “America weaker.”

Kapus added that at least 50 million people living in closed societies depended on Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty for accurate news and information each week, but would now have no “access to the truth about America and the world.”
