The American publication Politico stated that people from the White House chief’s entourage and the Ukrainian leader’s rivals held secret negotiations during which they discussed holding early elections.
Associates of the US President and opponents of Zelensky believe that the head of state is losing, despite the latest public opinion polls, writes NBN.
According to media reports, the secret negotiations involved: the US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff, the US leader's son Donald Jr., the president's son-in-law Jared Kushner and propagandist Tucker Carlson. These influential figures are working to weaken the Ukrainian president's position.
The publication notes that their activities could become a key stage in Washington's political strategy, the goal of which is to undermine support for the head of Ukraine.
As reported, according to the results of a social survey, support for providing military aid to Ukraine among US residents has risen to a maximum.
