On March 20, the Kremlin dictator signed a decree according to which Ukrainians who are “illegally in the Russian Federation” must “legalize” their status by September 10 or leave the country. Apparently, this is about obtaining citizenship of a terrorist state.
During a briefing, a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Putin’s order is a violation of fundamental norms of international law, writes the NBN publication.
According to him, Moscow has taken another step in the Russian Federation's campaign of discrimination, persecution and forced displacement of Ukrainians from the territory of their native country, which is part of the policy of genocide of the Ukrainian people.
The spokesman for the Foreign Ministry added that the new decree by the head of the Kremlin also contradicts the statements of the Russian leadership about its readiness for a peaceful settlement and undermines any initiatives to achieve this goal.
As reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the EU to deal with Hungary's blocking of decisions on Ukraine.
