A military expert on Radio NV said that the state border line in Sumy and Kharkiv regions has been absent since 2022, from the moment Putin's army began to destroy all settlements in the 5-kilometer zone, writes the publication “NBN”.
According to him, the soldiers created a bridgehead in the Kursk region, which is located 7-8 kilometers from the villages of Novenkoye and Basovka of the Yunakovo community. Between Basovka and the bridgehead of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is the Sumy-Sudzha highway, along which the defenders delivered resources to the territory of the Russian Federation.
Narozhny noted that the occupiers completely destroyed Novenkoe, it is unrealistic to find a whole house there, so the military has nowhere to gain a foothold. Basovka is relatively intact, so the enemy is trying to gain a foothold there, but the Defense Forces are not allowing him to implement this plan.
The expert reported that the spring-summer campaign of the “second army of the world” is aimed at Sumy and Kharkiv regions, therefore the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are aimed at preventing a Russian offensive.
Ukrainian troops entered the Belgorod region, where they established control over 2-3 villages, destroy bridges, crossings and damage the logistics of the Russian Armed Forces to a depth of 20-30 kilometers. Such preventive measures do not allow the occupiers to approach Ukrainian territory and carry out a lightning offensive.
