The American leader criticized the opposition political force for blocking a bipartisan agreement. Biden said that the 45th President of the United States Donald Trump called lawmakers from the Republican Party on the eve of the vote.

NBN reported this with reference to CNN.

The head of state said that the senators calls were received from the billionaire with “threats of retaliation” if they support the bill, which provides for the allocation of a large aid package to Ukraine and Israel.

As a result, on February 7, 60 senators voted against and 49 legislators voted for, making it impossible for Washington to allocate money to Kiev and Jerusalem.

Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova said the Senate will hold a procedural vote on February 8 to begin the process of discussing a foreign aid package without border security provisions. It is expected that the document adopted by legislators will allow financial support for our country, Israel and Taiwan.

Recall that the EU decided to allocate 50 billion euros in aid to Ukraine. The head of the Hungarian government, Viktor Orban, passed off the agreement of European leaders as his victory.
