About  that in London they do not share Scholz’s concerns about the consequences of sending the Taurus to Ukraine, and are considering the possibility of a “ring exchange” of almost identical missiles with Kiev, NBN writes, citing a statement by British Foreign Minister David Cameron, published in ;German publication Süddeutsche Zeitung.

According to Cameron, there are methods of building restrictions that provide for the proper use of these weapons, that is, ensuring in advance that “they [the missiles] will in no way contribute to escalation [with the Russian Federation].”

The head of the British Foreign Office added he has full confidence in Ukrainian partners who keep their word and do not use weapons provided to them in a way the allies who transfer them do not want that is that is exclusively for the defense of Ukraine .

In addition, Cameron separately emphasized: if Germany does not intend to transfer its missiles directly to Ukraine, the UK is ready to move to a “ring exchange” – give Kiev more Storm Shadow missiles (a stripped-down alternative to the Taurus, with a shorter range ), and in return, to receive Taurus missiles from Berlin.

We previously wrote about how Scholz justified himself for refusing to supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine.
