Fitness trainer Jenna Rizzo talked about the most simple steps to take. WomanEL will share them with you:
How to lose weight by summer: things you can do now
Gamify your activity
In the video on TikTok on Feb. 27 Rizzo, who specializes in women's weight loss, says the worst thing you can do when starting your weight loss journey is try to go from zero to 100 overnight. Instead, you can make a few simple changes that will give you results before the summer season. Moreover, they don't require you to change every aspect of your life.
First, she recommends “gamifying” your business. “You'll never have to spend hours in the gym, but you should get your body moving—and I love doing that with my clients by challenging them,” shares Rizzo. “This could be a step competition or at least 30 minutes of exercise every day.”
To encourage yourself to complete the task, you “incentivize yourself with a reward or prize,” she says. “Let's say you've met the goal of doing at least 30 minutes of activity for four days in a row. You can reward yourself with something like a pedicure, a bubble bath, or something else,” says Rizzo.
Follow the one spoon rule
Next on Rizzo's recommendations is to follow the “one scoop rule” when eating. Instead of trying to change your entire diet overnight, start by adding one scoop of fruit or vegetable to your current diet. There's a little psychology thrown in here: it will get more complex over time and will help you make healthier food decisions in the future.
Take care of your sleep
Rizzo's third and final rule, which she says is her favorite, concerns sleep. Sleep is important for a lot of reasons, but lack of sleep can wreak some really serious havoc on your hormones, which can cause mood swings, crazy cravings for junk food, and the like. Sleeping at least seven hours a night will increase your body's natural ability to burn fat.

First of all, she advises sticking to excessive restrictions. “I'm not telling you to eat an Oreo every day and expect to magically lose weight,” she says. “What I'm saying is that I wouldn't change everything about my diet overnight—when you go to that extreme and give up all the food you like, you're setting yourself up for failure.”
By- Second, she warns against doing random workouts that “don't make sense” that you find on the Internet. Instead, Rizzo recommends “following a very structured strength training program” to really see progress.
Finally, in keeping with his advice about prioritizing sleep, Rizzo says you shouldn't stay up late. “I wouldn’t waste my precious sleep time looking at social media,” she tells viewers. “Sleep is an underappreciated factor in weight loss, and the vast majority of the population does not get enough of it.”
