Spring — time of awakening, lightness and inspiration, rebirth and liberation from unnecessary things. TSUM Kyiv, together with the talented Lviv artist Oles Derega, presented an incredibly beautiful window display that opened the spring season, writes WomanEL.
Thus, TSUM continues to popularize contemporary Ukrainian art and support young artists. In the shop windows you can see a layering of silhouettes. Some details become more transparent, as if they are becoming a thing of the past, leaving behind only a pale trace. And some things, on the contrary, become more intense and come to the fore.
According to Oles Derega, he was inspired by the human body and paper sculpture – origami. The phrase “paper sculpture” conveys both vulnerability and monumentality and resilience.
It is light, but at the same time strong. Fragile – and at the same time confident. This duality of emotions swings like a pendulum. These are the fragility and fragility that we have from birth, and the stability that we have acquired, Oles noted.
So we welcome spring and continue to get acquainted with contemporary Ukrainian art together with TSUM Kiev.
Previously, Frolov and TSUM Kiev presented a common collection.
