Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos first met on set in 2018, when they were working on the film “The Favorite.” And this summer the third collaboration between the director and actress will be released – the film “Types of Kindness”, the trailer of which WomanEL invites you to watch.
Lanthimos prefers unusual plots, combining elements of the fantastic and real world. So the new film promises to be no less exciting and extraordinary than previous works.
In addition to Emma Stone, the film stars Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley, who starred in Lanthimos’ previous work “Poor Creatures,” as well as Gunter Schafer, Jesse Plemons and Joe Alwyn. Yorgos Lanthimos wrote the script together with Efthymis Philippou, with whom they had already worked on the films “The Killing of a Sacred Deer” and “The Lobster.”
According to the director, the new film is a triptych about three heroes:
- a man with no choice and trying to regain control of his life;
- a policeman dismayed that his wife, thought missing at sea, has returned a changed man;
- a woman who is looking for a spiritual leader with extraordinary abilities.
