Daddy's daughter: watch the Ukrainian trailer for the dramatic comedy

The closing film of Cannes Critics' Week “Daddy's Daughter” will be shown in selected cinemas in Ukraine in May, says WomanEL.

The world premiere of the film took place at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023. The director was Erwan le Duc, a multiple festival participant with his own original style.

A bittersweet comedy about fatherhood and kinship with a poetic and unconventional look,

the film was described by the artistic director of the program, Ava Kaen.

The plot centers on Etienne, who became a father at the age of 20. Soon after giving birth, his beloved left the family without explanation, leaving behind the child. This did not break the new dad, and he was able to build a close relationship with his daughter.

When the girl turns 17, she prepares to leave her father. But one day they recognize their missing mother in a TV story. The past resurfaces as father and daughter embark on one last chaotic family journey.

Starring Nahuel Perez Biscart and Celeste Brunkel. In Ukraine, screenings will begin on May 9. Rental of the film is limited – it will be possible to watch it only in selected cinemas for a short period of time.
