The new cruise collection Chanel Cruise 2024/25 was shown in Marseille. Virginie Viard's new show gives the mood to the sea coast and emphasizes the beauty of the ancient city, says WomanEL.
The show took place on the roof of the Cité Radieuse building, built by the architect Le Corbusier in 1952. Chanel brought in Jamie Hawksworth and showcased his vision of Marseille. On the streets of the city, the photographer took a series of spontaneous photographs, the heroine of which was the model Loli-Bahia.
Photos will be part of the exhibition “Marseille”, which will last from 3 to May 12 at the Cité Radieuse. The fashion house also presented a film directed by Ledge Lee, in which dancers from the National Ballet of Marseille and Chanel's friend ballerina Marion Barbeau explore the sights.
In total, the new collection of the brand's creative director Virginie Viard includes almost 80 looks. It embodies the main famous elements of Chanel: classic tweed suits in pastel shades, swimsuits with bows, denim overalls, medium and mini-length shorts.
Chains with the logo of the fashion house and camellias, as well as beads made of large pearls, were used as accessories. The looks were complemented by patent leather flats and white wedge flip-flops.
Timothée Chalamet previously presented the best-selling men's fragrance Bleu de Chanel.
