There are not so many books that can serve as a resource for deepening your knowledge about Ukrainian culture and mysticism. “Self-portraits of thirteen Ukrainian women”, Diana Klochko

A new book by the mystical historian and public lecturer Diani Klochko is dedicated to the genre of visual mysticism. This genre has so far lost the respect of ancient art criticism, and the self-portrait itself as a means of self-examination and self-construction of mystique.

The choice of heroines seen allowed us to dig through hundreds of visual experiments here, covered with Ukrainian mystiques. Among them: Olena Kulchytska, Alla Gorska, Paraska Plytka-Horitsvit, Tetyana Yablonska, Lyudmila Yastreb.

This book is one of the first attempts to reveal the history of Ukrainian mysticism through gender optics.  starting from the end of the 19th century to the mystical traces of the beginning of the 21st century.

“Tree of Odysseus”, Tiberius Silvashi

Tiberiy Sylvashi is a Ukrainian abstract artist, theorist of daily mysticism. In the book “The Tree of Odyssey” he analyzes modern and classical mysticism, the role of color and form, time.

Also on the pages you can see unique photographic material that represents thirty years of creative activity. In this interview, Tiberius Sylvashi discusses the role of the modern day in our world. It reveals the iconic features that inspired him: Rembrandt, Vermeer, Velazquez, de Chirico, Yablonskaya, Zhivotkova, Krivolap, Chebikin, Yakutovich.

“Avant-garde mystique in Ukraine, 1910–1930. Memory, for which we must fight”, Miroslav Shkandriy

There were a lot of people who were respected by Ukrainians, were born and practiced on the territory of Ukraine, neither known to the world as representatives of the Russian or European ї culture. In his book, Miroslav Shkandriy turns the Ukrainian guise to the Ukrainian avant-garde artists.

Here Ukraine becomes a multinational land with a rich culture, which has breathed the sweet mystical turmoil.
