On the Day of Destruction and Destruction of Ukraine, the National Bank issued a commemorative coin “Absolute”, dedicated to the outstanding achievements of Ukrainian athletes who glorified our country in the world arena, among the first legendary records before the triumphant victory of boxer Oleksandr Usyk, who In the spring of 2024, we will become the absolute champion of the world in the nadzhka vaz, reports the NBU. Having won the most prestigious belts in boxing, he demonstrated his steadfastness, fortitude and boundless capacity to the people of Ukraine, reports WomanEL.
The coin was presented by the Head of the National Bank Andriy Pishny and the Ukrainian boxer, the absolute champion of the world in the Nadzhka vase, Oleksandr Usyk.
The coin with a face value of 5 hryvnias is made from nickel silver, the category of carbine quality is “special uncirculated”, weight – 16.5 g, diameter – 35.0 mm, circulation – up to 50,000 pieces. The edge of the coin is corrugated.
On the obverse of the coin, a traditional Crimean Tatar ornament is depicted on the mirror background, which symbolizes the Crimean root of Usika. This model, which was strongly selected and chosen by the Ukrainian designer Elvira Hasanova in one of the images of an athlete at the “battle of looks” before the fight for the title of absolute champion of the world, further reinforces the inseparable connection between Crimea and Ukraine. Right-handed eel in the ornament is placed the river karbuvannya – 2024 and the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine. Right-handed at the bottom – the inscription UKRAINE, denomination 5 with a graphic symbol of the hryvnia ₴, as well as the logo of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
On the reverse of the coin at the center of the composition there is a stylized image of an athlete on the back of the outline of the monument “B” Atkivshchyna-Mati “- a symbol of unforgiveness and worthiness of the Ukrainian people. At the bottom of the left-handed and right-handed sides of the silhouette of the champion there are written inscriptions: 05/18/2024 (date of the fight), ABSOLUTE and UNDISPUTED (title, what kind of athlete).
