Ukrainians at Tashkent Fashion Week: fashion influencer Iryna Adonina presented the GASANOVA brand

Last week, an important cultural event took place for the entire Asian continent, as Fashion Week thundered in
Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

The presented brands surprised not only with trendy looks, but also with national motifs in each of them. Representatives of Ukraine also attended the shows, in particular, the Fashion Week was visited by fashion influencer Irina
Adonina, who represented the GASANOVA brand on the international catwalk. The beauty told the details to the editorial staff of WomanEL magazine.

Have you attended Asian fashion weeks before? What did you imagine them to be?

– I have never attended Asian fashion weeks before. To be honest, I was not very interested in fashion
of this region, but was pleasantly surprised. It turned out that this direction really values its
roots, origin and belonging to its culture. For me it was a real
discovery — I saw how local traditions and culture are valued and at the same time combined with the most fashionable trends. From the moment I arrived in Tashkent, I understood what a huge
potential this market has.

This is not your first experience as a model, but were you nervous this time?

– Yes, I had some experience in modeling back in my student years. However, I did not work as a professional model, and this show became the third for me among fashion weeks where I had the opportunity
to parade on the catwalk. It was an exciting moment for me, because all the girls were local — from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. I was the only Ukrainian model at the event, and it was important
experience for me, I felt a huge responsibility. I had the opportunity not only to represent the brand, but also to meet the organizers, buyers and people who create fashion in this region and, it is worth saying, I learned a lot. I also saw how the preparation for the shows goes, from fittings and castings to beauty preparation, and this also impressed me like the first time.

What is the most important indicator for you that the show was successful?

– For me, the most important thing is the emotions of the people who are present at the show. Nothing can replace the
energy that the audience transmits to the models and designers and vice versa. This is something that cannot be
transmitted through photos and videos, but can only be experienced. Therefore, it is the feedback from the
audience, its real emotions, that is important. When you feel this feedback, it gives you a feeling of satisfaction and
success. And when there is energy and support, then publications in the media and attention on social
come.networks, and, of course, the brand's sales are growing – then we can say that the show was successful.

How did you prepare for the show?

– I have my own little checklist that helps you quickly get in shape before the show.
First of all, it's an emotional state, because you need to be ready for any situations. It's like
performing on stage – you need internal preparation, resilience and a good mood. I also
I watched the latest shows to keep up with trends and keep up with new products. Every profession requires certain standards to look relevant and professional. In addition, I prepared my body: I followed a small diet, did massages, used body wraps to make my body look toned and ready for the show.

What impression did Tashkent make on you? Is this your first time here?

– Yes, this is my first visit to Tashkent, and the impressions are very interesting. It was a completely new experience for me, because I had not been to this region before. I have traveled a lot, but everything was new to me here: the city, the buildings, the mentality, the culture and the climate. Even in a fairly short stay in this country, I managed to get to know very friendly people who truly value their culture, traditions and family ties. It is especially impressive how they respect children and family here, because it is felt even in the shops – I have not seen so many children's goods in any country. We also had the opportunity to taste the incredibly delicious cuisine of this country, in particular the famous pilaf. I am sure that I will come back here again, because Tashkent is a city that is definitely worth visiting.

This is not the first time you have represented the GASANOVA brand at fashion weeks. How did your cooperation with this brand begin?

– My collaboration with the GASANOVA brand began when I became more interested in Ukrainian fashion. I started holding public conversations with Ukrainian designers, including Elvira Hasanova. She represented her brand at Budapest Fashion Week, and I invited her as a speaker for one of my events. She told me her brand story, which inspired me a lot — the brand was born ten years ago in Donetsk and became a symbol of female strength and perseverance. This became an impetus for me to get to know the brand in more detail, and since then our collaboration has been developing. I am very proud to have the honor of representing the GASANOVA brand, which is one of the most powerful in Ukraine, and I am sure that it has a great future.

Which of the fashion weeks you visited this season was the most memorable for you and why?

– The most memorable event for me was Fashion Week in Ukraine. It was an incredible event, important not only for the fashion industry, but also for every Ukrainian. This event had a huge impact on the modern culture of our country, as well as on the international perception of Ukrainian fashion. I think that even people who are not related to fashion felt the importance of this event. The next one I remembered was Fashion Week in Paris, because I had the opportunity to see the shows of French designers, including Balmain and the young brand Casablanca – it was a world-class event of extraordinary scale. And, of course, Fashion Week in Tashkent was a real discovery for me. I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to visit each of these fashion weeks and become part of this interesting process.

Earlier, Iryna presented a passionate collaboration with the Ukrainian Diamond Center.
