The petition to revise the winter financial support program for citizens of Ukraine has collected over 25 thousand signatures, which is necessary for official consideration. WomanEL tells us whether you will receive “a thousand from Zelensky”.
According to the author of the petition, Roman Stan, the main problem is the lack of clear targeting of assistance. Roman notes that financial support for the winter period is especially needed by pensioners, low-income families, large families and internally displaced persons.
The difference that will be formed after clear targeting will make it possible to increase the amount of payments specifically for those who need them, the author of the appeal explained.
In addition, the document talks about the financial difficulties that the state is currently facing. Half of Ukraine's budget is in deficit and is financed by international partners. The issues of providing the Security and Defense Forces also remain problematic.
Society is forming a vision that the state budget needs additional resources, so any additional expenses cause misunderstanding and dissonance, Stan added.
The author also suggests that the excess funds that the government cannot use for defense could have appeared due to the inefficient implementation of specialized state programs. He calls for these resources to be redistributed to needs where funding is extremely limited. After successfully collecting signatures, the petition should be considered by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. The head of state's response will determine the further fate of the proposed changes.
Earlier it became known where the government got the money for “Zelensky's thousand”.
