The BBC has published its annual list of the “100 Most Influential Women of the Year” who inspired and influenced society in 2024. The list includes two Ukrainian women – Olga Rudneva and Olga Olefirenko, writes WomanEL.
Olga Rudneva, founder of the Superhumans Center in Lviv, was included in the rating for her contribution to the rehabilitation of war victims. The center specializes in prosthetics, reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation, helping people return to a full life. In two years, the center has provided assistance to more than 1,000 people.
You can be kicked out of all the clubs, you can be told all your childhood that you are not good at looks, you can think that the height of your jump is limited by your place of birth, your appearance and whatnot. But if you sincerely believe in what you are doing. If you dedicate your whole life to it. If your actions correspond to the times and make this world at least a little better, then one day you will no longer need to write a resume, because your name will be on the list of the top 100 women of the BBC,
Rudneva shared.
Another Ukrainian, Olga Olefirenko, made her father's dream come true – creating a modern farm. After receiving funding from the Ukrainian Veterans Fund in 2023, she launched a company that uses innovative agricultural technologies and provides new jobs for the local community.
This year's list also includes South Korean athlete Kim A-Ji, actress Sharon Stone, singer Ray and many other women who have made significant contributions to their fields. Recall that in 2023, Ukrainian activists Oksana Zabuzhko, Olena Rozvadovska and Iryna Stavchuk were included in the rating.
The Ukrainian recently won one of the most important titles of the Miss Planet 2024 competition.
