Rafael candies have long become a favorite treat for many Ukrainians due to their lightness and sophistication, writes WomanEL. Now you don't have to buy them in a store – you can make them at home using a simple recipe from chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo, which he shared on his Instagram.
Just a few ingredients and a little love – and in a few minutes the dessert is ready, – said Hector.
Ingredients:
- coconut flakes – 200 grams + 20 grams for dusting;
- condensed milk – 1 can;
- milk chocolate – 240 grams;
- almonds – 50 grams.
Mix the main ingredients. To do this, in a deep bowl, combine the coconut flakes and condensed milk, mixing thoroughly to form a homogeneous mass.
Make balls from the resulting mixture. Place an almond in the center of each ball. Place the balls on a plate or baking sheet and place in the freezer for 10 minutes. This will help keep their shape and make the next step easier.
Melt the milk chocolate in a water bath or in the microwave. Dip the cooled balls in the chocolate, then roll in the remaining coconut flakes for a beautiful decoration.
Place the candies in the refrigerator to harden the chocolate. Your homemade “Rafaelo” is ready to serve, and earlier Hector Jimenez-Bravo touched his Ukrainian sweetheart with a romantic gift.
