Ukrzaliznytsia launched cars with coffee makers and Type-C ports from the Kryukiv plant

Ukrainian Railways continues to improve service and increase passenger comfort. In December 2024, ten brand-new compartment cars manufactured by the Kryukiv Carriage Building Plant entered the Dnipro-Lviv route. The first flight with the new car took place on December 11, at 10:30 p.m., from Kyiv to Dnipro. Ukrzaliznytsia intends to continue updating its car fleet, writes WomanEL.

What is known about the new cars?

The new cars are distinguished by their improved design, modern technologies and increased attention to passenger comfort. Their cost is 43–47 million hryvnias per unit. In total, it is planned to produce another 56 such cars.

The new cars are designed to meet the latest standards. Thanks to ports for charging gadgets, passengers will be able to comfortably use their devices throughout the journey. And the ability to adjust the lighting in each zone of the car adds even more convenience.

Special attention has been paid to inclusivity. Thanks to Braille, contrasting markings and auxiliary conductor call buttons, people with visual impairments can travel with comfort and confidence.

Ukrzaliznytsia intends to continue updating its car fleet. Next year, it is expected to be replenished with another 56 modern cars that will be able to provide a high level of service on other popular routes.

The new cars are another step towards improving rail transport in Ukraine. They meet the modern needs of passengers, provide a high level of comfort and accessibility for all categories of the population. Ukrzaliznytsia is confidently moving towards European service standards.
