On December 20, the organizers of the National Selection announced the names of nine artists who became finalists in the competition for the right to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2025. The event will take place in May next year in Basel, Switzerland, writes WomanEL.
A total of 369 applications were submitted for participation in the selection, including 232 solo performers and 72 bands. According to the results of the auditions, the following reached the final:
- Future Culture — a Kyiv musical group founded in 2022, with the song “Waste My Time”.
- KHAYAT — a Ukrainian singer and songwriter in the folktronica genre, finalist of the ninth season of “Voice of the Nation”, with the song “HONOR”.
- KRYLATA — Anastasia Zavadska, with the song “STAY TRUE”.
- MOLODI — a joint project of musicians Kyrylo Rohovy and Ivan Stepanishchev from Mariupol, founded in 2022, with the song “my sea”.
- Ziferblat is a Ukrainian music group with the song “Bird of Pray”. Last year, the group was included in the long list of the National Selection, but did not make it to the finals.
- Abie is a project by Natalia Shevchenko from Myrhorod, which has existed for seven years, with the song “Dîm”.
- DK Energetik is a Ukrainian post-punk band with the song “Sil”.
- Masha Kondratenko is a singer, actress and blogger, a finalist of the tenth season of the show “Voice of the Nation” (2020), with the song “No time to cry”.
- Vlad Sherif is a Ukrainian pop artist, semi-finalist of the 13th season of “Voice of the Country” with the song “Wind of change”. , which will start in January 2025. The final of the National Selection will take place on February 8, 2025. The winner will be chosen based on the results of the jury and audience voting. The composition of the jury will also be determined by online voting.
