I want to dedicate this victory to my mother, who has been worried and nervous about me for many years. And also to all mothers in Ukraine.
In addition, in the ring, Usyk raised the unique saber of Hetman Ivan Mazepa, who was once cursed by the Russian church – a symbol of the struggle for the freedom of Ukraine. This saber, delivered from Ukraine to Saudi Arabia under the control of museum experts, became an important tool of cultural diplomacy, reminding the world of the desire of Ukrainians for independence.
