Famous director Christopher Nolan has announced a new large-scale project – a film adaptation of Homer's ancient Greek poem “The Odyssey”, reports WomanEL.
The film will be a real cinematic breakthrough. It will be filmed for the first time using advanced IMAX technology, which provides incredible image and sound quality. Filming will begin in 2025 and is expected to cover several locations around the world.
Nolan wrote the script for the film himself, and his company Syncopy will produce it together with his wife Emma Thomas. The probable cast includes world-class stars: Robert Pattinson, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron and Lupita Nyong'o.
The premiere of the ambitious project is scheduled for July 17, 2026. Nolan fans are already in foreboding, as the director promises to transport viewers to the world of ancient Greek myths, complementing them with his signature direction and visual scope.
