In the Lost Lands: Watch the trailer for the long-awaited dark fantasy film adaptation starring Milla Jovovich

After a ten-year wait, the film adaptation of the dark fantasy of George R. R. Martina “In the Lost Lands” is ready to go to the big screen. The tape, which fans announced back in 2015, will premiere this winter, and the exact date was announced on the author's blog – March 7, writes WomanEL.

Mila Jovovich and Dave Bautista played the main roles in the film. Jovovich plays Cira Alice, a powerful witch who embarks on a perilous journey to the Lost Lands to find magical power at the behest of the queen. Her companion is the guide Boyce, played by Bautista.

The film was directed by Paul Anderson, known for the “Dwelling of Evil” series and, moreover, Jovovich's husband. The script was adapted by George Martin and Constantin Werner himself.

In the first trailer, viewers can see dynamic battles, epic ruins and fairy-tale landscapes that reflect the atmosphere of the original story. However, the visual style, largely created with the help of green screen, caused controversy among fans: to some, the video reminded the style of AI.

The filming process, which began in earnest in 2021, faced numerous difficulties. However, Jovovich remained part of the project throughout this time. The cast also includes Arlie Hover, Amara Okereke, Fraser James, Simon Leff and Deirdre Mullins.

We'll just have to wait until March to appreciate this long-awaited adaptation, which promises to be intriguing and full of epic moments. The first trailer is already available, and it promises a real cinematic adventure…
