Instagram continues to develop its features to compete with TikTok and introduces a new mobile video editing app, “Edits.” According to Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, the tool offers a full suite of creative features for easy and professional video editing.
Edits features:
- Longer video editing: Record up to 10 minutes with the ability to save drafts.
- Timeline: Give your videos granular control, including clip editing, auto-enhancement, green screen, transitions, and overlays.
- Higher quality recording: Support for HDR, 1080p, and more.
- Analytics: Track the performance of your content.
- Inspiration tab: Get real-time audio trends and popular content.
- Flexible export: Share drafts with others or export videos without watermarks for publishing on other platforms.
“Edits” promises to become a worthy alternative to the popular “CapCut” application and attract even more video content creators to the Instagram platform.
As a reminder, Instagram is also launching a new tool for testing content and expanding its audience.
