Dmytro Vivcharyuk on unity, donations and responsibility: what every Ukrainian should finally realize

Dmytro Vivcharyuk is a famous Ukrainian actor who has starred in TV series and films that have won the hearts of viewers. He can be seen in “Make it to 30”, “Cossacks. An Absolutely False Story” and the historical action film “Dovbush”. However, in addition to his acting career, Vivcharyuk is known for his active civic position, writes WomanEL. In a conversation with journalist Alina Dorotyuk, he shared his thoughts on what every Ukrainian should realize, and why it is so important not to give up now.

The country begins with you

Dmytro emphasizes that Ukraine is not someone else, but each of us. Politicians can change, but real changes depend on ordinary people.

This war will be won by ordinary people: workers, bakers, IT specialists, volunteers. Everyone contributes to the victory, – the actor noted.

He emphasizes that it is important not to look for the guilty, but to act at your own level. If every Ukrainian does at least one useful thing — helps the military, donates money, or simply speaks Ukrainian with their child — it is already a contribution to the future.

The first three months of the war are the best version of Ukraine

Dmytro nostalgically recalls the first three months of the full-scale war. However, now many people have lost motivation due to corruption scandals, discouragement and fatigue. Vivcharyuk urges not to succumb to these sentiments, but to remember the same unity with which Ukrainians endured in the most difficult moments.

Yes, it was scary, painful and difficult. But inside the country was burning with pride. Then we were more united than ever, – shared Dmytro.

The actor also raised a question that is often asked of public figures: “Why aren't you at the front?”.

Not everyone should be in the trenches. War is 30% front and 70% support. Everyone should play their part in the common struggle. Someone holds a machine gun, someone works, and someone donates – and all of this matters, – he said.

Vivcharyuk himself tried to join the army, but military commanders convinced him that his work as a public figure was no less important. After all, he has the opportunity to convey information to people, raise funds, and maintain the fighting spirit of society.

Unfortunately, over time, the following sentiments began to appear in society: “What’s the difference?”, “Not everything is so clear-cut,” “Maybe it’s not worth donating?”. Dmytro Vivcharyuk urges not to succumb to these doubts.

According to him, everyone should support those they know, help those in need, because that's the only way we will win. Instead of looking for reasons to do nothing, it's better to find at least a small opportunity to help. Even 10 hryvnias of donation can save a life.

Faith in a miracle and Ukraine

The actor does not hide that his biggest dream is to return to a peaceful, free Ukraine with his family.

I want my children to live in the country that I love. And I'm doing everything to make it a reality, – admitted Dmytro.

He emphasizes that every Ukrainian is a unique person who can influence the course of history. The main thing is to believe in victory, support each other and not give up.

Previously, Lyubava Greshnova talked about life on two fronts: why the actress's husband is not returning to Ukraine.
