The other day, a court hearing was held in Sakartvelo, a city in Kutaisi, regarding 52-year-old Georgian singer Nino Katamadze, WomanEL learned. The artist is accused of violating the rules of demonstrations. In other words, for having the courage to express her position. For supporting freedom, democracy, and not only her own people, but also Ukraine.
To be more precise, Katamadze is being tried for participating in peaceful protests in Tbilisi. This is how the pro-Russian authorities in Sakartvelo are forcing the singer to be silent. But as long as there are people like Nino, real voices will be heard.
In addition, the artist got in touch and thanked for the support on Facebook.
The court ruled that the singer must pay a fine of 5,000 GEL (~ 75 thousand hryvnias).
By the way, Nino Katamadze has a clear position – against the Russian authorities and dictator Putin. In addition, she supports the Ukrainian people and is friends with Ukrainian artists. In one of the interviews, the star spoke about the help of Svyatoslav Vakarchuk from the Okean Elzy band.
