A bright, outrageous and talented artist who always impresses with her performances. However, behind the brilliance of the stage and images lies a story of difficult trials. How Lady Gaga struggled with psychosis and the difficulties she had to face, the star frankly told in the podcast The Interview, writes WomanEL.
Lady Gaga has admitted that she went through a psychosis five years ago that had a significant impact on her life. She said that she literally lost touch with reality and only after many years of hard work was she able to return to normal.
The reason for this was her stage persona. Gaga explained that early in her career she created a character that was very different from her real self. Over time, these two personalities began to conflict, and she could no longer understand who she really was.
“I was disconnected from reality for a while. I would like to think I'm a good person, but on stage I feel fierce, hard, and intense. So I had to learn to contain those two things so they didn't fight each other,” the singer shared.
The actress admitted that she used to like living on the edge, in constant chaos. But over the years, she has learned to appreciate peace.
“I'm proud of myself for becoming more boring,” jokes Lady Gaga, hinting that she is now more concerned about her health and inner balance.
The star also stressed the importance of talking about mental health. She believes that such topics cannot be silenced, as many people face similar difficulties.
Lady Gaga has repeatedly raised the topic of psychological well-being. She not only openly shares her experiences, but also actively supports initiatives aimed at helping people with mental disorders.
Her story is a reminder that even successful people face challenges, but there is always a way out. It is important not to be afraid to ask for help and take care of yourself.
Lady Gaga previously released a soundtrack album for the film “Joker: Into the Wild West.”
