Consequences of the shelling of the Kharkov region
As a result of enemy strikes in the Kharkov region and Volchansk.< /p>
This was reported by the Kharkov Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Today, May 12, at about 6:00, the invaders fired at the village of Cossack Lopan, Dergachevskaya TG. A 46-year-old woman was wounded.
Also today at about 13:00, the Russian army shelled the village of Dvehletnaya in the Kupyansky district. A 47-year-old woman was injured and was taken to hospital.
The enemy did not stop shelling the city of Volchansk. One person is currently known to be injured, a 74-year-old civilian man. A number of private households and civil infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged in the city.
“Under the procedural leadership of the district prosecutor's offices of the Kharkov region, pre-trial investigations have been launched into violations of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
- In the Kharkov region, defensive battles continue along a significant part of the border strip. Some settlements from the “gray zone” have become combat zones. In some of them, the enemy is trying to gain a foothold in order to use it for further advancement.
- Volchansk, Liptsy and all points of the northern border are under enemy fire almost around the clock. The situation is complicated. Therefore, residents are urged to evacuate.
- More than 4,500 residents have already been evacuated from the border settlements of Bogodukhovsky, Chuguevsky and Kharkovsky districts of the Kharkov region.
