Kyiv's Pecherskyi Court has arrested with the right to post bail of 49 million UAH a Khmelnytskyi City Council deputy who was detained on suspicion of illegal enrichment.

This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.

It is indicated that the suspect was found to have over one and a half million undeclared dollars and real estate.

“The woman did not indicate in her declaration that she had any cash at all. At the same time, during searches of individual bank safe deposit boxes opened in her name and at her place of work, law enforcement officers seized more than 1.5 million US dollars in various currencies,” the report says.

The defendant was notified of suspicion of illegal enrichment (Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code).
