Poet, scientist and military man Oleksandr Podvyshennyi died in battles in the Kherson region

He was the only officer in Krynki and for 75 days continuously repelled the enemy offensive on the left bank of the Dnieper.

Ukrainian poet, scientist and military man Oleksandr Podvyshenny died on May 30 in the village of Krynki in the Kherson region.

This was reported by “Public” with reference to his brother and wife.

Captain Oleksandr Podvyshenny was the commander of a rifle company of the 104th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Rivne region. He took part in the Revolution of Dignity and the war in Donbass, and from the beginning of the full-scale invasion he defended the northern border of Ukraine near Vremenny Yar and Krynka.

Povyshenny signed the contract back in January 2022, because he was looking forward to the start of a big war. He was a graduate of the first course “Training of captains” at the Troitsky Regional Defense Forces.

As his brother Mikhail said, Alexander was the only officer in Krynka and continuously repelled the enemy offensive on the left bank of the Dnieper for 75 days.

According to his brother, he agreed to the operation, not knowing how to swim well, refused evacuation after being wounded.
