During a speech in Brussels, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte gave his own assessment of the losses of Ukraine and Russia in the war.

Every week, both sides lose 10,000 soldiers on the front lines in Ukraine. And last month was a record for losses for the Russians – their advance in Donbass is “slow and comes at a very high price.”
Rutte also acknowledged that NATO countries are not yet ready for the threat that Russia may pose to them in the coming years, and called on leaders to “switch to a wartime mentality.”
