58% of respondents are ready to let them into their circle, another 35% agree that they should live in Ukraine.

KIIS studied the attitude of Ukrainians towards displaced persons, residents of TOT and refugees> photo </p> <p>47% of Ukrainians have a completely tolerant attitude towards refugees. Almost 40% agree that they should return to Ukraine (87% in total), only 13% would not want them to return. </p> <p>This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.</p> <p>Sociologists note that, in principle, these data are consistent with the data of a study conducted in September 2022.</p> <p The average social distance from the population of Ukraine to refugees is 3.66. </p> <p>“Social distance is an indicator of the consequences of close relationships respondents are willing to tolerate with representatives of a certain group, where 1 – agree to allow as a family member, 7 – would not let into Ukraine at all. Regarding internally displaced persons (IDPs), the social distance index is 3.20,” KIIS noted.</p> <p>According to the survey, almost 58% of respondents are willing to allow refugees into their environment, another 35% agree that they should live in Ukraine (93% in total). </p> <p>Thus, 93% of the population agrees to allow IDPs into their environment, only 7% have a xenophobic attitude towards them (almost the same as towards Ukrainian-speaking Ukrainians).
