Power engineers will be able to begin repair work as soon as the security situation allows.

Russian shelling knocks out one of two power lines at temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP blackout due to Russian shelling.

This was announced by the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy.

As a result of enemy shelling, one of the two power lines at the power plant was knocked out.

“Currently, the NPP is connected to the Ukrainian power grid by only one power line. Power engineers will be able to begin resuming power supply to this line as soon as the safety situation allows,” the department emphasized.

  • Last week, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was forced to postpone the rotation of its mission at the Zaporizhzhya NPP due to the lack of safety guarantees from Russia.
