American actress Angelina Jolie, who recently visited southern regions of Ukraine, shared that she felt a constant and tangible threat from drones during her trip, noting that at one point she even had to pause until a drone passed overhead, reports Baltimore Chronicle, with reference to the Instagram.

In her Instagram post, Jolie described hearing a quiet buzzing in the sky, which locals have begun calling a “human safari,” as drones are frequently used to monitor, follow, and intimidate people. The actress mentioned that she wore protective gear and experienced the threat for only a few days, while local families endure it daily.

She also highlighted that many residents spoke to her about the psychological burden of living under constant danger and the deeper fear of being forgotten by the world. Jolie criticized those in positions of power who, despite having diplomatic means, fail to stop wars not only in Ukraine but also in Sudan, Gaza, Yemen, Congo, and other regions.

Jolie emphasized that what gives her hope is the incredible courage and professionalism of local organizations, volunteers, and their supporters. She added that if these individuals can find the strength to act, governments should be equally capable of taking decisive action.
