English Manchester City won the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup . In the final of the tournament, which took place in Saudi Arabia, Josep Guardiola's team defeated the Brazilian Fluminense with a score of 4:0 .
Already in the first minute of the final match, the “townspeople” opened the scoring – Julian Alvarez finished the ball into an empty net after Nathan Ake hit the left post with a long-range shot.
In the 27th minute, the European club doubled its advantage – after Phil Foden's cross from the left flank, the ball was cut into his own net by Fluminense defender Niño.
In the second half, the “sky blues” brought things to a rout. In the 72nd minute, Foden headed in Alvarez's cross from the left flank from close range.
And the final score in the final was set in the 88th minute by Alvarez, who scored a double.
