Ukrainian gymnasts won three medals at the first World Cup stage of the season

The Blue-Yellows have one “gold” and two “silver”.

The Ukrainian national artistic gymnastics teamchose three awards at the first stage of the new World Cup season, which took place in Cairo, Egypt.

Our athletes won two medals on the parallel bars. Ilya Kovtun won this discipline (15.600 points), and Oleg Vernyaev (15.230 points) became the silver medalist. Colombian Jossimar Calvo Moreno (15,100 points) received bronze.

In turn, Nazar Chepurny (14,900 points) won silver in the vault.

At first, the 21-year-old from Cherkasy was declared the winner of the competition, but after the protest of the Armenian team, the “gold” with an advantage of 0.03 points went to Artur Davtyan. The bronze medalist was Shek Wai Hung from Hong Kong (14,799 points).

It was previously reported that 21-year-old Ukrainian Vladislav Bukhov became world champion in swimming. This is the eighth gold medal in the history of Ukraine at the planetary swimming championships and the first since 2007.
